I made this fun little video to announce that we are having a baby! People like babies!! It went crazy and gained over 50 milllion views on Instagram, and the Behind the Scenes video (see below) gained over 50 million views on Tiktok.
This brought in a lot of new followers and some nice jobs that I have been working on over the last few months.
Making babies!
It was made using wool and a process called felting. The flat red sheet is acrylic felt from the stationary store. The other objects are made from carded merino wool. You spike the wool with a special felting needle in order to form solid shapes. There was a pin connecting the baby’s head with body, so that it could swivel from side to side.
Wool gives that beautiful texture of hair that looks soft and fluffy. Very satisfying to watch.
